As advised in the Blog previously – the Christmas/January School holidays are peak periods of leave and are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, and is usually booked well in advance (for fairness purposes if a staff member has the Xmas period off around the public holidays one year then they refrain from requesting the following year to give someone else the opportunity of enjoying that time off). Same applies for the Easter break. In addition, again from a fairness perspective, if you have the Christmas period off, then please let someone else have the opportunity to have the Easter long weekend off. This is all in the name of fairness and consideration.
Apart from that, leave is allocated on a first come, first serve basis, and there are limited numbers of staff that can be off at any one time.
We have previously advised that the Christmas/January period is completely booked out and no additional staff will be able to have leave during this period.
No leave is available from 23/12/22 – 10/2/23. Therefore unless there are cancellations to leave, we are unable to accept anymore requests for leave during this period.
