What to do if you are unable to work your shift for the day – how to contact your supervisor

The protocol and procedure is that you message the appropriate supervisor letting them know you can’t work your shift (please be conscious and respectful of notification times – please do not message after 9.30pm at night and not before 5.30am in the morning).

If staff are unable to work their shift for the day – it is inappropriate for them to email their supervisor to let them know.

Supervisors are not rostered to work 24/7 and therefore do not monitor their emails 24/7.

A simple text message is the surest method of contact. 

Any sick leave taken needs to have a medical certificate produced.
