Please be careful with Comrad descriptions for combined item numbers. E.g. the item number description may say "ultrasound bilateral groin/hips" but this is because the same item number applies for ultrasound of the hips and ultrasound of the groins. It does not necessarily mean we are scanning both regions - therefore the description on Comrad needs to reflect this - if it is ultrasound of both hips, description should be just that, ultrasound both hips, not ultrasound both hips/groin.
Always be sure that the description in Comrad states the exact examination(s) we are performing.
And yet another reminder that there are 10 toes and 10 fingers - if you are writing a description for an x-ray of the finger or toe, you must say which finger or toe. X-ray right finger will not suffice!!!!
Descriptions are always to be modality, side (if applicable), region
e.g. x-ray right little finger, ultrasound left hip, MRI right wrist, ultrasound abdomen etc.
