We will commence charging privately for denervation back injections effective immediately. The cost will be $815 and the out of pocket (gap) is approximately $200.
For those staff, that make back injection appointments, please check if a denervation injection is being requested prior to arranging an appointment as this is different to a facet or epidural injection. This booking must be made correctly to avoid issues when the patient arrives for their scheduled appointment – especially now that we will be charging the patient.
Denervation injections can only be booked in the spot after lunch and two spots need to be taken out so that the total booking time is 40mins not 20mins. Do not book in any other spot and do not book at all if there is only 20mins available. It must be booked in a 40min spot after lunch.
The quick code in Comrad is FACETDEN (this will bring up all the items connected with the denervation examination).
The items and prices are as follows for all Medicare patients. For non medicare patients please use the $ sign in comrad and quote the private fee in the system. The below charge is only for patients that have current medicare cards.

104 = $150
Total = $815
