EOS

This scan cannot be booked unless the person taking the booking has confirmed that the referrer can refer for an EOS. 

If the referral is from a specialist or GP then there will be no issues.

If the referral is from a physiotherapist, chiropractor, podiatrist, osteopath etc. etc. – then there are limitations to the items these practitioners can refer and are unable to refer for EOS.

Therefore, you must make sure that the referring practitioner for EOS is not one of these and if it is then the patient would either need a new referral from a GP or specialist for it to be bulk billed OR they can pay the private fee for EOS of $250 and this WILL NOT be rebateable from Medicare.

The onus is on the person making the booking to get it right. If the patient is not sure then you can Google the referring doctor details yourself prior to making the appointment.
