Female Tech Requested

If a patient requests a female to do their scan, then depending on the study, staff will also need to check if a Dr is required to do the study – eg Biopsy, MSK inj etc. and also book in accordance to doctor roster.  For example – booking a patient in for a breast biopsy with a female sonographer but on a day when we only have a male doctor doesn’t fulfil the request for a female to do the scan. The booking would need to be made with both a female sono and doctor. Please be aware of the request and follow through. Please also make appropriate notes in the patient's record.
