Comrad Descriptions

Another reminder that all descriptions on Comrad must be in the following format:

MODALITY, SIDE (IF APPLICABLE), REGION

e.g. CT LEFT FOOT, US ABDOMEN, XR RIGHT INDEX FINGER

Please also ensure that you are using correct terminology and that the spelling is right!

Additionally, always check the description when entering a patient who attends for their appointment and make any necessary edits. Don't blindly trust that the description entered when the patient made the appointment is correct.

Remember, referring doctors and patients can see the exam description on PACS, therefore it is imperative this not only be correct, but also not contain any extra information e.g. patient is fasted, John's mum, orbits, weight etc.

Any incorrect descriptions that are sent through to PACS need to be manually corrected, they do not update automatically. Therefore if you edit any descriptions please inform Michelle.
