Comrad Notes

Notes need to be made so that all departments are able to see what is happening in relation to any patient.


For example, technical staff please make notes if the side to be scanned is incorrect on the referral.  Confirm the side to be scanned.  Make a note on the referral.  Rescan the referral and make notes in Comrad.


If any patient is called and a message left, put a note in the patient’s record to indicate that you’ve called and your initials and what the call is in relation to, so that when the patient calls back the phone room staff know who to put the call through to, or at the very least what the calls about.


Putting notes in a patient record is not up to just one department or person.  Every person who comes into contact with a patient and looks after the patient from start to finish needs to be making the appropriate notes so that everyone is up to speed in regards to anything out of the ordinary with the patient care etc.
