Changes to COVID Protocol

As of 15th December, the NSW Government will change the rules surrounding masks and QR codes. 

• Masks will only be required on public transport and planes, at airports, and for indoors front-of-house hospitality staff who are not fully vaccinated. Masks will be strongly encouraged in settings where you cannot social distance.
• Masks no longer required in outdoor settings.
• COVID-19 Safe check-ins only required for hospitals, aged and disability care facilities, gyms, places of worship, funerals or memorial services, personal services (including sex services), pubs, small bars and registered clubs, nightclubs, strip clubs, sex on premises and indoor music festivals with over 1,000 people.

This means that staff members may chose if they will continue to wear a mask. 

QR check in will no longer be mandatory for staff and patients. In addition, COVID vaccination status of patients and visitors will no longer be required. 

Uncaccinated patients will no longer be required to have a COVID test prior to their appointment. 

We will however continue to screen for COVID symptoms. If patients or visitors are experiencing any symptoms, a negative COVID or rapid antigen test will be required or examination will be rescheduled. A new screening macro will be added to Comrad to use during booking and registration (COVBOOK, COVREG).
