Updates to NSW Health Orders

As announced by the NSW Govt earlier today, new stricter lockdowns and restrictions have been put in place for NSW, Greater Sydney and in particular our workplace LGA of Blacktown.

These are the orders directly related to our workplace:

The following new restrictions around workplaces and authorised workers from the LGAs of concern will be introduced:

• Authorised workers who work outside their LGA of concern are only permitted to work if rapid antigen testing is implemented at their work-site or they have had their first vaccination dose by 30 August. 
• From Saturday, 28 August, authorised workers from the LGAs of concern  are required to carry a permit from Service NSW declaring that they are an authorised worker and cannot work from home; and
• From Saturday, 28 August, anyone entering an LGA of concern for the purposes of work must carry a worker permit issued by Service NSW.
• From 12.01am Monday, 23 August, workers from the Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland and Fairfield LGAs will no longer have to have been tested for COVID-19 in the previous 72 hours to work outside their LGA.

Therefore in summary:

All employees who live in the Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland and Fairfield LGAs from 23/8 will no longer need to be tested every 3 days.
To maintain consistency throughout the Practice, all staff will need to provide a vaccination certificate (for 1st and or both doses), or appointment confirmation that a vaccination has been booked prior to 30th August. Please send this info through ASAP but before Wed 25/8.  If you are not vaccinated, don’t intend to be vaccinated, or don’t have a booking as yet, you must email Rita ASAP with your details.   
All staff will need to apply for a permit from Service NSW to allow entry into the Blacktown LGA as it is an LGA of concern. All staff must have this permit by Sat 28/8. 

Please note there are many vaccination hubs offering both Pfizer and Astra Zeneca vaccinations (sites are listed on the NSW Gov website) and priority appointments have been available for all authorised workers and continue to be available at places such as Sydney Olympic Park, Qudos Bank Arena etc.
