Nuchal Translucency - For all sonographers to read!

If a nuchal translucency patient tells you they have already had a blood test, you must establish which pathology company the test was performed with (not the medical centre, the actual pathology company!) and when it was done. The patient is not to leave the practice until it has been confirmed the tests requested from their doctor were for the PAPP-A test we require. If the patient is unsure, or you are unable to confirm the nature of the test, please give the patient a referral and instruct them to have the test done upstairs with Douglass Hanly Moir.
