To reduce the number of errors that are occurring (and not being picked up prior to release of reports) - all sites must complete a bagging slip. This is to ensure a final check prior to report being verified and released to referring Dr is performed. In particular, your attention is drawn to the fact that the referring Dr and any cc Dr must be checked and corrected so that the report not only goes to the correct Dr, but that from a billing perspective the correct referring Dr is recorded with Medicare.
Once checked the bagging slips must be signed by the person doing the checking for each category.
A signed Medicare form is also required - so there is a check point for this.
All bagging slips as well as signed Medicare forms will need to be scanned into the patient's record.
